Loved this one! My daughter broke the hinge on the DVD cover within the first month, but it kept working with the screen up, no problem, for over 2 years! I’m wanting to get another, but am not sure about buying used…

Nice thought, but the unit stopped working after the second use. Very tough for young kids to set up. Would not recommend.

I bought 2 of the Polaroid PDM-2727 last year. One for my family and the other as a gift. The color and clarity of the 7″ screen is superb. Sound quality too is very excellent. It keeps the kids entertained during long trips in the car. My only quams about this DVD player is that the provided cables are too small to run under the carpet, so you have to run the cables across the headrests, and there are too many buttons on the unit, which makes it hard to push the right button while driving. My kids are careful when they place DVDs in and out of the player, but after 6 months of nearly daily use, one of the plastic hinges on the door that houses the DVD/CD broke. Small of replacing the door, there’s no way to replace the hinge and without this door, the DVD won’t play. Shortly after that, the player had difficulty recognizing a DVD was in the unit, and wouldn’t play. It eventually stopped working altogether. I believe the ribbon cable is hurt. Anyway, it was fantastic while it lasted and I’m now looking for either a replacement for the hurt master unit, or a new player set although I don’t need the slave DVD. The slave unit serves solely as a second monitor,so it’s not subject to the same wear and tear as the master which receives the DVD/CD.

We bought these for a 2,500 mile driving vacation a few Summers ago and they are still working perfectly! Quick set-up, versatile mounting and simple for all of my girls to operate, even the 4 year-ancient. Picture and sound quality are very excellent for the price and I am especially pleased with how well they have held up after quite a bit of use and movement between vehicles. Highly recommended!

These are simple to install, and fantastic to keep the kids entertained. Very simple to use and can be went from vehicle to vehicle.

We’ve had these for 18 months or so now, but only had used them one time on a trip until recently. We pulled them out and installed them again for another trip. They have worked fantastic and allow each kid to eaither watch a movie, or one can watch a movie the other can play games. They were simple to install both times and have a nice travel bag included. Also headphones which was a plus !
